Religion

Now. I'm not, generally thought of as a religious guy by people. (Though how they handle my "i had a voice which portrayed itself as god in my head, which is an interesting manner in which the universe manifests itself that should be paid attention to and understood" is anybodys guess...) The point i'm trying to make is: Hell yeah they did bad stuff in the name of the established order, but i'm still kind of impressed by the capacity of the religious structure to intuit the inevitable engulfing of earth by the sun. Way to go, seeing that from so far out in our history. Granted, it took science to prove it, and the manner in which they presented the message and manipulated people with it has its faults. Those faults are still present in all major societal structures anyhow. too late, didn't read : the earth is on a path to "eternal" fire, and if you wanna get out you better be establishment friendly (at the right time). Yup, still true. (Don't worry, we have ample time...! =))
